Briton jailed for smuggling marijuana into the UK from Spain

A BRITON has been jailed for attempting to smuggle £60,000 worth of marijuana into the UK from Spain.

Nicholas Giles, of no fixed abode, was stopped at Southampton International Airport when he arrived from Malaga.

The 44-year-old confessed to officers that he was carrying the drugs in his suitcase before they searched his baggage, and on opening his suitcase the drugs were found wrapped in clear plastic.
