Man dies abseiling in Ronda

A MAN was killed as he tried to abseil down a cliff side in Ronda.

Witnesses have said that the 37-year-old man, who was on an adventure group tour, fell from at least twenty feet.

According to other members of the group, he twisted in his harness, as he was descending the waterfall in the Tajo, and fell to the ground.

The rescue team, police and Intervention Mountain (Ereim) quickly came to assist the semi-conscious man, although they tried to revive him for over 20 minutes, he died at the scene.
