REAL MADRID is the most popular football club in Spain according to a recent survey.
The club was found to have the most followers, with 23.8% of those questioned by the Association of Research for Media Companies saying they support the team.
Barcelona was the second most popular, with 18,2% stating they supported the club, followed by Atletico Madrid with 3.7%.
Valencia and Athletic de Bilbao were fourth and fifth respectively.
Barcelona proved to have the most enthusiastic fans, however, selling the most football shirts out of all the clubs.
