IN line with other EU countries the clocks in Spain go forward one hour this weekend at 2am on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

Clocks will go back again at 3am Sunday 26 October, 2014.

Benjamin Franklin was the first to suggest adjusting the clocks in an essay in 1784. But it was William Willett, in 1907, who started the campaign to move the clocks forward for the lighter and warmer months and backwards during the winter.
