Roque Santa Cruz Malaga exit imminent

FORMER Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz will leave Malaga in the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old Paraguayan will join up with Mexican side Cruz Azul after 74 games with the La Liga side produced just 17 goals.

Santa Cruz netted three times in 12 games this season including a consolation goal against league leaders Real Madrid.

A spokesperson for CF Malaga said: “Malaga Club de Futbol and Cruz Azul Football Club have reached an agreement for the striker Roque Santa Cruz, who will join the Mexican side in the winter market.”
