SUSANA Diaz, head of the Junta, gave birth to a baby boy last night in the public hospital Virgin de Valme in Sevilla.

Diaz had a scheduled caesarean to give birth to the six pounds and five ounces baby, and both are in good health.

Diaz has announced that she plans to split her maternity leave with her husband, while in the meantime vice-president Manuel Jimenez Barrios takes her place until she returns.
