RAJOY e

RAJOYAFTER 25 years of construction in total, the final chunk of the A7 dual carriageway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy on October 7.

The 10km Granada section, an alternative to the N340, connects Malaga to Almeria and now means the entire road measures 1,440km.

The location, between Carchuna and Castell de Ferro, cost an estimated €164 million.

The A7 now encompasses Malaga, Motril and Almeria and their costas (Sol, Tropical and Almeriense) in one fell swoop.
