Spanish bankers rank fourth highest on report into EU bonuses

SPAIN has 1,506 bankers taking home a bonus worth 200% of their salary, a new report reveals.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) study of EU countries’ bank employees places Spain in fourth place.

United Kingdom has the most with 6,461 with Germany second on 3,399 and France third on 2,397.

An EU cap limits bankers’ bonuses to 100% of fixed salary, or 200% with shareholders approval.
