THE ongoing mess of false insurance claims made by UK holidaymakers is hopefully soon to reach an end.

Monday’s high-level talks between ABTA and FEHM was clearly an opportunity for the Mallorca hotel industry to lay down the law.

Honest hoteliers on the island have endured this outrageous loophole for too long.

ABTA themselves have shown they are fully prepared to meet the problem head on alongside their Spanish counterparts.

“We will support each other in efforts to challenge companies and individuals who are committing fraud,” a spokesperson told the Olive Press. The end is hopefully nigh for bogus claims.
