THE Easter weekend in Spain will be wet and windy, weather agencies have predicted.
The Met Office in the UK predicts five days of rain for Murcia and Alicante.
It is set to rain every day in the two areas from Friday through until Tuesday.
Temperatures in Murcia are not set to reach 20° again until Monday, and in Alicante until Tuesday.
Spanish weather agency AEMET has put in place orange warnings for rainfall, waves and wind, meaning ‘important risk’.
These are mainly enacted on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday set to be much calmer in the two areas.
AEMET has not put in place any weather warnings for the Costa del Sol, but most towns and cities are still set for five days of rain.
Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Mijas, Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona are all set to see rain every day until Tuesday.
Thunderstorms are also predicted across all these areas.
Most of the Costa del Sol is predicted a warm weekend, with highs of 22° in some places on Monday.
AEMET also places most parts of the Balearic Islands on yellow or orange alert from Friday to Sunday.
Meanwhile, the UK is expected to see highs of up to 25° and could even be hotter than parts of Egypt, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
