SPAIN’S Costa del Sol is set to bask in summer-like temperatures this week.

According to weather agency AEMET, temperatures will reach 30C in several different areas of Malaga province today.

The mercury could also pass 30C in the Axarquia and Antequera, it added.

In Malaga city, temperatures will reach 29C.

Wednesday will provide higher temperatures, with 31C expected to be achieved in much of the province, including the capital.

The rest of the week will see temperatures in the high 20s.

It comes after AEMET announced that the whole of Andalucia will experience a ‘warmer than average’ autumn this year.

It added that there will be the usual amount of rainfall between October and December while residents could expect an ‘Indian summer’ in terms of heat.
