The firm, founded by American expat Christopher Clover, received the prestigious accolade at the European Property Awards.

The managing director of Panorama established the highly-respected company over five decades ago.

Two of his children, Alex and Katinka also work in the company.

Panorama’s victory means that it is now automatically nominated for the award for ‘best real estate agency (single office) in Europe’.

The winner of this prize will be announced at the International Property Awards in London on December 2.

The awards began in 1993 with only a few participants, but now have representatives from Africa, the Middle East, Canada, the Caribbean, South and Central America, Europe and the US.

Award nominees are assessed by a panel of industry experts, who have an extensive knowledge of the real estate sector at a global level.

Clover said: “Winning the award for best real estate agency in Spain is a reflection of our team’s joint effort, and of our commitment to clear and transparent communication and providing an unbeatable service to our clients.”

Panorama’s success comes against a backdrop of relative boom in terms of real estate transactions in Malaga and on the Costa del Sol.

There have been 6,000 properties sold in the province in just the last 12 months, putting the area only just behind Madrid and Barcelona.

Clover added: “Marbella area real estate and tourism in general has now entered into a new golden age, offering some of the highest quality properties on the entire Mediterranean, in an environment which has maintained its natural beauty, very high level of services and infrastructure, and with a full 12-month season due its southernmost location in Europe.”
