BRITISH holiday giant Jet2 has announced it is suspending all flights and holiday packages from England to the Canary Islands.
It comes as England is set to go into a country-wide lockdown from tomorrow (Thursday 5).
The lockdown includes a ban on international travel, putting Jet2 in an impossible situation.
The suspension of flights and holidays will last until the lockdown ends on December 2.
Those who are currently in the Canary Islands are being advised to look at their flight options on how to travel back to England, with a programme of flights being arranged.
For now, the suspensions will not affect tourists travelling between the Canary Islands and Scotland or Northern Ireland (Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast).
