Burglars flee after realising home is Hollywood hardman’s
May 1, 2009 • Malaga • 0 Comments
BEING a well known celebrity has certain advantages, particularly if you are one of Hollywood’s ‘tough guys’.
Armed robbers fled former movie hardman Dolph Lundgren’s home in Marbella after breaking in and tying up his wife.
“The criminals fled as soon as they realised the owner of the house they had raided was someone they wouldn’t want to come up against”
They had begun terrorising her into handing over cash and jewellery until one of them spotted a family photo of the action star and his children.
Luckily for the gang, Lundgren – a 6ft 5in karate black belt – was not at home.
A source said: “Things might have turned out very differently if Dolph had been in.
“The criminals fled as soon as they realised the owner of the house they had raided was someone they wouldn’t want to come up against.
“They left Anette pretty traumatized. She’s Dolph’s angel and anyone who messes with her is messing with him.”
The former bodyguard to singer Grace Jones, became famous for his role playing Russian boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.
The expert in full contact karate had once sent fellow Rocky star Sylvester Stallone to hospital after he punched him too hard.
The father-of-two, who moved to Marbella from London, has starred in more than 40 films, many as a baddie.
He has been married to jewellery designer wife Anette Qviberg for 15 years.
Their sunshine home is a stone’s throw from Max Clifford’s apartment in Nueva Andalucia, where Simon Cowell, Alan Sugar and Antonio Banderas also have properties.
Police are still hunting the three attackers.
The Swede, who turns 52 in November, still trains up to six days a week.
He has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney and a genius-level IQ of 160
