A SPANISH minister has branded a London trader ‘immoral’ and ‘crazy’ after he claimed he goes to bed every night dreaming of another recession.

Finance minister Elena Salgado dismissed Alessio Rastani’s claim that millions of people’s savings would be lost within a year.

“This nutter thinks he can obtain money with this threat. It’s not only crazy but also immoral,” she told Spain’s RTNE.

The self-styled independent trader’s bizarre outburst came during an interview on BBC News in which he also claimed that ‘Goldman Sachs rules the world’.

“For most traders, we don’t really care that much how they’re going to fix the economy, how they’re going to fix the whole situation.

“Our job is to make money from it,” he added.
However, the BBC were forced to issue a statement amid claims that the interview was a hoax.

“We’ve carried out detailed investigations and can’t find any evidence to suggest that the interview with Alessio Rastani was a hoax,” the statement said.

  1. Are we sure he even is a trader? The BBC have been hoaxed before. Of course, hoaxer or not, Mr Rastani is fundamentally correct in what he said. Traders are not the least bit interested in recoveries and recessions, and nor should they be. They solely exist to make money from the markets, and a good recession/depression is a golden opportunity to make big returns. This was the case in the 1930’s, and in the previous recession, and now. Just look at how rich George Soros, and others, became. It is quite true that Goldman Sachs rule the world; they even put Obama in power, and they are his boss.

As for morality, the Spanish government don’t have much of that of course. A country that allows tens of thousands of people to purchase retrospectively illegal houses after using Spanish lawyers, notaries and banks is fundamentally immoral.

  2. Immoral? This is not a pathetic internet commenter like me, this is a gouvernment minister. When did she say immoral when unemployment figures went up? When did she say immoral when the state deficit grew? When did she say immoral, we get all these European funding, when will we give something back? No. Madam watches the Benny Hill show. On BBC. And officially comments on that!!!!???????? Immoral… I the past ages Spain tried to impose its moral standards on Europe. And they are still surprised nobody buys that story. Want another auropista? Another AVE line? Another park of wind mills? Where is your plan on paying back? Where is your plan on making the economy more heathy? Where is your morality with all the unemployed you left behind? You call yourself socialist? You

  3. Crazy? Immoral?
Try looking at home first. The PSOE bandits can’t open Rio Tinto mine as immoral Chaves says no.
Huge amounts of money tied into decision, many jobs but still no.
Why? Chaves lines his own pocket.
