Spanish and German merger creates world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer

gamesa-wind-turbineTHE world’s largest wind turbine maker has been forged by Spanish company Gamesa and Siemens.

The firms have combined their wind power activities to make them the new global leader with a market capitalisation of €10 billion.

Siemens is one of the world’s biggest makers of offshore wind turbines while Gamesa is the fourth-largest manufacturer of onshore operations.
