His dogs ate a neighbour
THE owner of three pit bulls that killed a man has been jailed for a year.
A court heard how the dogs savaged elderly Emilio Maza as he walked home in Pinos Puente, Granada.
As reported in the Olive Press last year the body of the victim was found with numerous bite marks. An arm and both legs had been partially eaten.
An autopsy revealed he died as a direct result of the attack and not from a cardiac arrest.
The court also heard how Maza had twice complained about the dogs to police.
The first time was in 2002 following an attack on a family member and the second was in 2006.
The dog owner was also fined 100,000 euros.
