Strewth, see what was threshing in my net

AT more than five metres in length and with extremely sharp teeth, it came as something of a shock to fisherman, José María Lavado, when he landed this Thresher Shark.

Just a mile off the shore, near Marbella, he had initially thought it was a dolphin. The rare breed of shark (Alopias Vulpinus) rarely grows so big and are noted for their tails being almost as long as the rest of their bodies.
