Plastic tax comes in at last in Andalucia

SHOPPERS will have to pay 10 cents for plastic bags from next year.

The rule comes in as a new five cent green tax was introduced on plastic bags from May 1.

The tax, which aims to reduce pollution, has come in after being postponed by five months due to the recession.

The Olive Press launched a campaign to bring in a plastic bag tax as long ago as 2008.
