‘Airport city’ will harm Spanish bird life

A PLAN to clear the way for a huge ‘Airport City’ development could have disastrous consequences for the environment.

SEO/Birdlife has warned that the massive development planned by Alhaurin de la Torre town hall will have a ‘serious’ environmental impact on numerous habitats, especially for birds.

It comes as the town hall approved land classification changes to allow the first stage of development to get under way close to Malaga airport.

The green group insists the huge development will greatly affect corridors for local birds.
