Regal ending for Spanish bird of prey

A GOLDEN eagle found with 33 gun pellets in its body has finally been released back into the wild. 

The bird, suffering from anaemia, bone injuries and dehydration, was found in Murcia’s Moratalla mountains by hunters.

But following two months of care at El Valle vet surgery, it has happily made a full recovery.
