Spaniard faces prison for directing fireworks at police chopper

A MAN accused of launching fireworks at a Guardia Civil helicopter is facing up to four years in prison.

The incident happened on the A63 in Asturias as the chopper circled above a picket of striking miners.

Over 70 people blocked the road with burning tyres causing €7,000 in damages at the protest.
