SPAIN has seen 38 people receive the best gift of all this Christmas – with a new record for organ transplants in one day.
The unprecedented number carried out in less than 24 hours was announced by the National Transplant Organisation.
The organs came from 14 deceased donors and one living kidney donor, and provided 21 kidneys, nine livers, five lungs and two hearts.
