EMERGENCY services in Andalucia have confirmed the deaths of two people on board a light aircraft that crashed near Montecorto in the Serrania de Ronda.

The search for the missing aircraft began on Thursday afternoon with the Guardia Civil, Centro de Coordinación de Rescate Aéreo de Madrid, environment agency, local police, volunteers and family members.

But the burnt out wreckage was eventually found in the Puerto Saúco area of Montecorto in Malaga province on Friday evening.

The identities of the deceased, aged 48 and 51 believed to have been from Ronda, have not yet been released.
