VIDEO: Escaped hippo on the loose in Huelva

A HIPPO was on the loose in Huelva last night after it escaped from a circus in Palos de la Frontera.

Witnesses say it strolled across the main road and munched on some grass from the verge before circus staff rounded it up and took it back to the circus.

Hippos can achieve speeds of 30km/h and are notoriously territorial.
