Spectacle wearer of the year 2016 winner announced!

WINNER: Tynesha

SPECSAVERS Opticas have announced the winners of the Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2016 Awards.

The first prize of €500 and a pair of designer glasses wasawarded to Tynesha Dudgeon, who submitted a sassy, fun picture of herself in her oversized black frames.

Judges say the snap ‘expressed her style’ and showed how central her glasses were to her identity.

Tynesha said: “They are a great fashion accessory and now everyone wants to wear glasses!”

Semi-finalists Imanol Ortega, Zlatka Brodie, Jennifer Franks and Antonia Belmonte Gámez, all won designer specs worth €159.

 

Laurence Dollimore

Laurence Dollimore is a Spanish-speaking, NCTJ-trained journalist with almost a decade’s worth of experience.
The London native has a BA in International Relations from the University of Leeds and and an MA in the same subject from Queen Mary University London.
He earned his gold star diploma in multimedia journalism at the prestigious News Associates in London in 2016, before immediately joining the Olive Press at their offices on the Costa del Sol.

He has broken world exclusives on everything from the Madeleine McCann case to the anti-tourism movement in Tenerife.
