Costa Brava sees massive climb in golf tourism

GOLF tourism has increased by 67% in the Costa Brava.

The region’s tourism board said the putting hotspot, which celebrates 50 years of golf this year, has welcomed more than 103,000 European golf visitors in the last two years.

The new data shows most tourists came from the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Laurence Dollimore

Laurence Dollimore is a Spanish-speaking, NCTJ-trained journalist with almost a decade’s worth of experience.
The London native has a BA in International Relations from the University of Leeds and and an MA in the same subject from Queen Mary University London.
