Spain is fourth biggest exporter of food and drink in the EU

SPAIN’S food and drink exports have hit a record high.

Led by the fruit and vegetable sector, figures released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment showed exports reached €44.6 billion, an increase of 7.5% from 2014.

This gives Spain 8.5% of the market share, making it the fourth biggest exporter of food and drink in the EU, behind the Netherlands, Germany and France.
