Dog beaches given green light in Marbella

TWO new dog beaches will open in Marbella this summer.

The Junta has given the go-ahead for two sites in El Pinillo and Ventura del Mar in Nueva Andalucia.

Councillor for Sustainability Miguel Diaz said the areas have been commissioned in zones less popular with beach-goers.

“The dog zones do not interfere with bathers seeking to relax in the sun,” he said.

He said the move came after a rise in demand for pooch-friendly beaches.

He added that all pets must be vaccinated and any waste disposed of.
