AUTHORITIES are still searching for the person who was dragged out to sea off Santa Ponsa after Storm Ana battered the Mallorcan coast.

On Monday the seas were too rough to conduct a search, according to Calvia’s Protección Civil, however, the Guardia Civil continued to fly over the area where the person was thought to have disappeared.

They are continuing the search on both the land and coast.

Storm Ana left chaos in its wake after 140-kilometre winds churned up five-metre waves, causing ports to close and airports to shut down.
