A SPANISH woman has been arrested following the theft of 2,000 euros worth of surgical equipment from a Costa del Sol hospital.
The 48-year-old woman is believed to have stolen a briefcase on New Year’s Day which contained 28 items including scissors, scalpels and tweezers.
She was detained on January 9 by the Policia Nacional at an address in Marbella.
A 39-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of receiving the stolen goods.
Although the briefcase was empty when found at the man’s home, also in Marbella, the Policia Nacional did discover an electric skate valued at 1,300 euros from another theft.
