Orange alert for Costa del Sol as strong winds and rain forecast this weekend

AN orange alert has been issued for the Costa del Sol this Sunday.

According to weather agency AEMET, there will be winds of up to 75km/hr accompanied by rain throughout the day.

There will be force 8 winds at sea and four-metre waves, the agency has warned.

The rains will last until Thursday and will be strongest on Tuesday.

Saturday will see a minimum of 8 C and a maximum of 16 C; while on Sunday the minimum will drop to 7 C.

As of Monday the minimum temperatures will rise, up to 12 C and the maximum will reach 19 C.
