Young man dies in Manilva after getting caught up in brawl, three days of mourning declared

A YOUNG man has died after being punched during a fight in Manilva.

The 27-year-old died last night after he was punched in the head twice when a brawl broke out while he was partying with friends.

The fight erupted in Martin Carpena square where hundreds were gathered to celebrate the first party of the spring.

The young man was not involved in the fight but got caught up in the brawl.

Health services tried to revive the man but he was announced dead at the scene.

Guardia Civil are still searching for the alleged attacker.

Manilva town hall has declared three days of mourning.
