A BRITISH toddler has suffered a serious injury on a Mallorcan beach after he ‘ slipped from his mother’s arms’ and fell down a 20 foot cliff.
The 19-month-old, believed to be a boy, was being carried along a footpath leading to Torrent de Pareis beach in Sa Calobra when the freak accident occurred.
Guardia Civil responded with a helicopter and the injured child was taken for emergency treatment in Palma accompanied by a doctor and nurse.
The child’s condition has been described as serious and he is currently undergoing a series of checkups at Son Espases Hospital.
It comes after a British tourist died while swimming off the popular resort of Fuengirola in Spain.
