The group was apparently angry at not being allowed to take drinks from the club, and subsequently fired shots.

Policia Nacional officers have now opened an investigation into the incident.

It comes after the shooting of Dutch and Belgian revellers in the same car park last year.

A police spokesperson said: “The National Police has opened an investigation following an incident with firearms around 6.10am this Saturday at the doors of a nightclub in Marbella.

“No-one was hurt. The incident is understood to have been caused by clients at the nightclub.”

Paris Hilton has DJ’d at the club, while other famous guests have included Barry White, Naomi Campbell, Antonio Banderas and Kate Moss.
