British man, 46, arrested after stabbing 20-year-old at 11AM in a bar in Alfaz del Pi on the Costa Blanca

A BRITISH man, 46, has been detained after stabbing a 20-year-old at 11am in a bar in Alfaz del Pi.

The men, both British, were inside a bar on the Cami Vell d’Altea when a fight broke out at mid-morning.

The victim was taken to the Hospital de la Marina Baixa, in Villa Joyosa.

He may require ‘surgical intervention’, according to Valencia’s Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).

The aggressor has been detained by Guardia Civil.
