‘Brit friendly’ restaurant owner in Spain killed after disgruntled chef stabs him in throat

DINERS at a ‘Brit-friendly’ restaurant in Spain have been left shaken after a chef stabbed the owner in the throat, killing him.

The brutal killing took place at Las Vegas restaurant in Puerot del Carmen, rated the ‘best in Lanzarote’ by British tourists.

Customers were left stunned after the owner, a 45-year old father of three, appeared in the entrance bleeding heavily from his neck.

“He approached with his neck cut and with his hand on him asking for help.

“Then he fell to the ground and nothing could be done to save his life,” said Peter Ciacca, the owner of a nearby bike rental shop.

The incident occurred following an argument over working conditions, according to police who arrested the attacker at the scene.

A 59-year-old Spanish national has been charged with manslaughter.
