Guardia Civil’s neat trick to quickly cool down the oven-hot air in your car in summer

GUARDIA Civil have issued a useful tip to cool down the baking-hot air that accumulates in parked cars in summer.

The advice, issued via the Guardia’s official Twitter account, consists of just two simple steps:

  1. Fully open the passenger-side window, while keeping all others shut;
  2. Open and close the driver-side door FIVE times as the hot air escapes.

The trick works by sucking out the hot-air through the driver-side door, as cooler air rushes in the window.

Guardia also advised drivers to use A/C, drink a lot of water and park in shaded areas.
