IN PICS: Spain’s three most expensive properties REVEALED after Costa del Sol pad listed for €55 MILLION

HUGE: This Marbella home has been branded the most expensive in Spain by Idealista

THE most expensive property in Spain is officially in Marbella.

It comes after Idealista listed a sprawling home for an eye-watering €55 million.

SPRAWLING: Marbella home has three buildings and sits on the beach

The beachfront property sits on an 8,000sqm plot and comprises 12 bedrooms spread across three buildings.

The advert acknowledges the price, saying in the advert: “You must discover the most expensive house in the country, a huge estate with majestic buildings in a privileged location.”

The hefty price tag is €15 million more than the second-most expensive in the country, a €40 million mansion in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, Ibiza.

GORGEOUS: White Ibiza villa comes a distant second on the price list at €40 million

The sprawling pad comes with 10 rooms, professional tennis and squash courts built on a 2,040 square metre property.

The third most expensive listed property is in Mijas, where a 7,000sqm frontline palace will set you back €35 million.

Not least due to the 160 metres of private beach which comes with the Costa pad.

The homes have been ranked by Spain’s most used property portal Idealista.

There is only one home in the top 10 most expensive which is not based on the Costa del Sol or in the Balearics – a €19 million luxury estate in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, which is the ninth most expensive in Spain.

Closing the ‘top 10’ is a Marbella estate for €17.5 million euros.
