MORE tourists are visiting Andalucia but they’re less willing to splash their cash, new figures reveal.
Andalcuia received 8,304,311 foreign tourists in the first eight months of the year, a three percent increase on the same period last year.
However, these tourists spent just over 3% less in August, spending a total of €8,502,000 between them.
In August, Andalucia was the third most popular region in Spain for tourists, only Catalonia and the Balearic Islands were more popular.
Unsurprisingly, the British visit Andalucia more than any other nationality. British tourists make up just under a quarter of all the visitors to Andalucia, followed by the French.
The average length of a trip to Andalucia was 8.8 days in August.
