HOUSE sales in Andalucia dropped by 20% in August, but the region still recorded the largest number of house sales in Spain

7,278 properties changed hands in the eighth month of the year, compared to 8,733 in August last year.

Home purchases across Spain fell by 21.1% to reach 35,371 in August 2019, according to the Institute for National Statistics’ figures.

It is the lowest number of house sales in an August in Spain since 2015. 

7,463 less homes changed owners nationwide in August 2019 than in the same month in 2018, when 42,834 were sold.
