AN abusive British husband has been arrested at Malaga airport after trying to board the same flight as his wife.

The 46-year-old was cuffed on Tuesday after breaking a restraining order which had been imposed by a Costa del Sol court.

A judge ruled in July that the Brit was forbidden from approaching his partner after an Estepona court heard how he abused her.

The details of the abuse have not been released.

Policia Nacional at Malaga airport received a red flag when the man went through passport control.

A quick search revealed that he had a restraining order out against him, intended to protect the very woman he was trying to travel with.

He was arrested for breach of court order.

The flight was heading to Manchester in the UK.
