IT WAS like a Q Branch gadget from a James Bond film.

But far from fighting evil villains, the false floor in a Benidorm vehicle yielded plastic bags filled with party pills, hash and a switch blade.

The suspected criminals behind the illegal substances are two British nationals, now charged with crimes of drug trafficking.

The heist came after Policía Local in Benidorm were patrolling the English Square area of Benidorm earlier this month accompanied by canine units.

One of the dogs ‘marked an area’ of the boot of a stationary car though police could not find the source of the dog’s alarm.

Agents soon found a secret button, which when pressed revealed a false floor in the boot of the vehicle containing the contraband drugs.

Policía Local also found business cards of the suspected criminals, suggesting they worked ‘on request’ for their clients in the Costa Blanca party city.
