Pensioner, 74, jumps from second-floor window in Marbella to escape woman who chopped off his fingertip over €200 drug debt

A DRAMATIC escape unfolded when a pensioner hurled himself from an apartment window where he was being tortured over a drug debt.

The man, 74, crashed onto a parked car below after what police say was a night of violence and captivity on February 26.

Officers from the Policía Nacional later arrested a 35-year-old woman accused of tying the pensioner to a chair, beating him and slicing off the tip of one of his fingers.

Investigators say she acted alongside a male accomplice in what quickly escalated from a small drugs dispute into a brutal ordeal.

The victim had allegedly gone to the flat to obtain narcotics when he was suddenly restrained and attacked.

Police say the pair shaved his head, assaulted him and even drenched him in a flammable liquid while threatening to set him on fire.

All of it, officers believe, was over a debt of just €200.

Terrified and injured, the pensioner waited for a moment of distraction before making a split-second decision to jump.

He plunged from the second-floor window and landed on a vehicle parked beneath the building, which likely saved his life but left him with multiple fractures.

A passerby discovered the injured man in the street and alerted emergency services.

The case was taken over by the homicide unit in Marbella, which swiftly identified the alleged attackers.

The woman has since been remanded in custody on suspicion of illegal detention, assault and crimes against moral integrity.

Her alleged accomplice died of natural causes days later while police were attempting to track him down.

Officers say the shocking episode highlights how a minor drug debt spiralled into a night of extreme violence that nearly cost a pensioner his life.
