A BRITISH tourist found dead in mysterious circumstances in a Mallorca apartment last week has been identified as a leading reality TV star.
Jake Hall, 35, was found lifeless with shards of glass embedded in his head on Wednesday morning in a rented property in the village of Santa Margalida, located in the north of the island.
Officials believe the London-born TV personality, who appeared on the hit show The Only Way is Essex between 2015 and 2016, died after smashing his head through a glass door after a night partying.
A source told The Sun: “Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting.
“It appears from what police have been told that he became agitated, possibly from alcohol and other substances he may have consumed.”
Police were called to the apartment at around 7.30am where they found Hall’s body in a pool of blood.
Officers from the Policia Local took statements from six witnesses who were inside the property at the time of his death – four men and two women.
The group had allegedly consumed large amounts of alcohol and drugs after a wild night out.

One neighbour told local newspaper Ultima Hora they heard a large noise during the night, just hours before police were called to the flat.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
In a statement, The Only Way is Essex said: “Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.”
Tributes were also paid by Boston United, one of several non-league football clubs Hall played for.
No arrests have been made by police.
The tragic incident comes almost a decade after Hall, aged 25 at the time, narrowly escaped death after he was stabbed in the back during a nightclub brawl in Marbella.
Hall was rushed to intensive care and spent around six weeks recuperating in Spanish hospital, almost losing a kidney in the process.
The model, who created and owned the menswear fashion brand Prevu Studio and By Jake Hall, is survived by his daughter River, and the mother of his child, Mise Beqiri.
The pair got engaged in May 2018 but separated after Hall was handed a restraining order later that year.
