A BARMAN has been arrested on the Costa del Sol after he was spotted allegedly selling cocaine to his customers.
Officers from the Policia Local were conducting a routine patrol through the centre of Malaga on Thursday evening when they saw the waiter acting suspiciously as he spoke to a tourist.
Shortly afterwards, the visitor returned to his table to collect a sum of cash from his friends, before then leaving the bar alongside the waiter.
Having noticed the suspicious movements, police decided to discreetly follow the pair as they walked towards the junction of Calle Alamos and Calle Carreteria.
Officers believe they then witnessed a drug deal as the waiter got into a car with the cash, before returning with a small bag of white powder, believed to be cocaine.

Both the waiter and the driver of the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of an offence against public health.
Police say the bust is the latest example of drug-dealing involving foreign tourists taking place on the streets of Malaga – often in plain sight.
In a separate incident, police watched on as a young foreigner met up with another man.
The pair walked to the entrance of an establishment, where the tourist waited outside while the other man went inside.
When he came out, he is alleged to have handed the tourist a bag containing a white substance, again believed to be drugs.
After questioning, the buyer – a 30-year-old Italian man – admitted to police that he had just bought cocaine for €20.
