A 31-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist has tragically died after a collision with a car near Marbella, emergency services have said.Â
The tragedy unfolded on Monday at around 6.45am, when witnesses reported a collision between a car and a motorcycle in the Lomas de Rio Verde residential area.
The rider was left critically injured after being thrown to the ground in the impact, according to witnesses who spoke to Diario SUR.Â

Emergency medical teams and local police rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the young man could not be saved.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not taken to hospital.
The death comes amid a string of fatal road accidents on the Costa del Sol, following the death earlier this month of 17-year-old Norwegian tourist Nikoline Piwoni Hoie in Mijas, who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run.
Police initially made an arrest last week, but the suspect was later cleared after investigators determined he was not responsible.
The tragedy also follows the deaths of three Irish tourists in a crash near Malaga late last month, when their vehicle plunged into a ravine after the driver lost control.
Investigators later found that the passengers had not been wearing seatbelts.
