THREE British men have been arrested at an Alicante province warehouse for buying and then trying to ship over 100 kilos of cocaine to the United Kingdom.
Two Spaniards were also detained by the Policia Nacional during a raid on Tuesday on premises located on Almoradi’s Poligono de Las Maromas.
All five- aged between 34 and 40 years- were scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday.

The arrests were made after an investigation of a criminal gang that offered its services to the highest bidder.
The British nationals included two lorry drivers who were going to transport the cocaine and a ‘fixer’ who ensured the deal went through and who paid for the narcotics.
The Spanish detainees purchased large quantities of cocaine from foreign gangs with the intent to selling it on to European and British clients.
They also provided logistical facilities like the Almoradi warehouse that criminal groups could take advantage of.
The Policia Nacional discovered they had received a large consignment of cocaine which had arrived via sea in a container.
Their main suspicion was that the drugs may have been shipped into the Port of Valencia.
The British purchasers had sent the three men to Spain to seal the deal and to transfer the cocaine to the UK.
The police raid was executed at a building recently rented by the Spaniards in Almoradi.
Once the three Brits arrived at the warehouse at 6pm to get their consignment, officers went in.
100 kilos of cocaine was seized which had been split into one kilo packs, wrapped in cellophane.
The Policia Nacional also impounded almost €7,000 in cash and two vehicles.
One was a car that was already in the warehouse and a lorry which was going to be used by the Brits to transport the cocaine.
It had been camouflaged with legal cargo to reduce the chances of detection in a routine check or on arrival at the UK border.
