A HUGE tuna has been found dead off the coast of Marbella just days after a giant fish was rescued in the same waters – sparking fears it could be the same animal.
Health workers recovered the carcass around 500 metres from the shore on Wednesday, four days after a two-metre, 300kg tuna was found stranded on nearby El Ancon beach.
The earlier incident went viral after the huge fish was filmed thrashing violently near the shoreline, apparently injured and bleeding from its gills.

Beachgoers and health workers eventually managed to guide the tuna back into the sea, where it appeared to swim away.
But the dead fish found on Wednesday was of a similar size and also appeared to have injuries, raising fears among animal lovers that it could be the same creature.
The carcass was found further west than where the first tuna had been rescued on August 8.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the two fish are the same, while the cause of death remains unclear.
