A BRITISH boy, 4, is in a serious condition but ‘out of danger’ at Palma’s Son Espases hospital after being pulled out of the swimming pool at the Port de Pollenca Yacht Club.
The incident happened shortly before 10am on Monday when the duty lifeguard saw the youngster get into difficulty.
He got the young boy out of the pool and starting carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Emergency services were called with the Policia Local first on the scene followed by two ambulances.
Health workers managed to stabilise the boy’s condition before he was taken to hospital.
The Guardia Civil escorted the ambulance so that it could get to Son Espases quickly.
He was admitted to the hospital’s Paediatric Emergency Department, and though in a serious condition, a latest bulletin released on Monday evening said that he is ‘progressing well’ and is said to be ‘out of danger’.
As is routine in such cases, the Guardia Civil will take charge of an investigation into what happened.
The boy was on holiday in Mallorca with his parents.
